Who took this picture? Shot several years ago at Bug-a-Roo 2001 as you can see. It's the first time I see it.

So you might wonder who 'Die Volksfreunde' are, well.... May I introduce from left to right: Nicolas, me (Wim), Saskia, Vicky, Sofie, Katrien, Sandrine, Gunther and Geert. Of course not everyone is on the picture. For example Ollie, Dave, my girl Maike and a lot more aren't on the picture which is by the way shot at Spa as you might already noticed.

Geert's ride fitted with adjustable front beam andready for the CSP-disc-brakes. These brakekit are a fine piece of engeneering. My ride too use them with great succes. For more info check out http://www.customspeedparts.de/content/en/.

This is File's ride. A Gemini-bug with Porsche rims and a nice 1776 engine. Too bad is it not taken on the road more often.

Dave's bug in a little fucked up position. Bug has now some severe damage on the left site caused by a broken balljoint. Innerwing, door and fender are now total loss. Quite a lot of damage for a worn out balljoint, check yours regulary is all there's left to say. Bad luck Dave.

I would also like to thank Ffred for the support by mentioning our blog on his blog. So now it's payback. CHECK OUT http://vw1500s.skynetblogs.be/ for some nice TYPE THREE stuff. Thanks Ffred.

I guess people are right when they say that early beetles tend to rust more then their older brothers. Mine is not even twenty years old and already needs a lot of bodyrepairs. Or maybe it's just because it lived by the Belgian coastline. Who cares anyway, wait till it's finished.

And here my little stomper received a piece of one of the two 1300S beeltes I've cut into pieces. Now my little Mexican build bug has extra value.

And here's the man who's doing the welding and giving my bug the pieces of new metal it needs. Thanks a lot Dave. Keep up the good work.
