They just need some minor welding, some paint and they're ready to go back on my ride.

Just got my frontfenders back from the sandblaster. Naked VW-metal still looks good after 40 years.

First proud man (on the right) is Christophe Van Trappen with his gasser Trash (also see VWTech nr 19) and I'm the second from the left with Best Type Three. See u again on the second edtion of the meeting in Zaffelare.

Third part of the Battle: a few thin layers of undercoating. . My innerwings look far better than before, don't you think so? Next on is a fine new layer of stonechip and this side is good for a few years to come untill this beauty gets threated with a full respray in the original color which is Seasand. But before we get to that, my bug has to get finished.

Second part of the Battle: a layer of Epoxy-undercoating. The maskingpaper wasn't very profesional but it did the job of masking off my beautiful flat black paint just fine.

While the front wings of my ride are removed to get them sandblasted, I thought is was time to attack the rust on the innerwings. There was less rust then I expected but I attacked anyway (just killing time).

The organisation of our second Bugtour is almost finished, so we thought is about the time to give you the possibility the join in.
As you might already know, the Bugtour will take place on the 29th of May.
Here's how the day should look like.
The tour starts @ De Sebastiaan in Lochristi (near Ghent) at about 9 o'clock where we'll welcome you with a small breakfast.
At about 9.30 the first cars should leave to head down to The Netherlands. Half way through the first part of the rally, you will be able to stop to enjoy aircooled life with a drink. After that we continue and head down to a restaurant in Groede where lunch is planned and for those of you who like the seaside, a walk down the beach.
To give the contenders enough parkingplace, the parking of the restaurant will be VW-only.
After this stop the trip continues back to Belgium to end this beautiful day in Steve's VW-shop new store (Bugtour special). Steve will welcome us in his new shop with a drink and tidbits.
This whole package is offered you for the very reasonable price of € 22.5 pp and € 7.5 for those of you who aren't 12 yet.
To join in just pay your inscription fee @ 001-3414532-14 with your name and emailadress or phonenumber so we can corfirm your inspriction.
If you have unanswered questions just mail me @ wim.devincke@pandora.be .
    See U then. Greetz
