    100.000 km Treffen

This Belgian 'brezel' participated at the '54 meeting. It's an early '47 split (I guess) . Does anyone know something about that car?
I found the information and pictures on www.uralt-vw.de . A very nice site for all the vintage fans.

    100.000 km Treffen

Two meetings were organised. The '52 meeting took place in 'Erbach in Odenwald'. The second in '54 in 'Stuttgart'.

    100.000 km Treffen

Early Bad Camberg? No it's a meeting organised by the German magazine 'Gute Fahrt' in the year 1952! All the cars that had over 100.000 km were allowed to the meeting.

    Mexico Mexiiiiicoooo

At this moment our host mojito-man 'guillermo' is making a trip around Mexico. So I 'messie' am in charge for a while. This is what guillermo sent me. Ok it's not a beauty, but I know Wim has a better eye for mexican chicas.

El pais de la Ultima Edicion

The next couple of weeks, you won't find any post of me on this blog because I'm off to visit the land where the famous gasser 'Pink Panther' used to rule the strip in the 80'ies.
I'll be cruising thru this nice country behind the wheel of an overrated-big-ass-V8-powered-SUV, so forgive me. But Im' pretty shure I won't be able to forget that in this country, the last bugs rolled out of the factory.
Maybe I'll keep you updated from overseas if everything goes to plan. Otherwise Messie will keep you all hooked up to this blog.
See you all when I'll get back if I do get back 'cos I've heard the Margarita's are adorable over there, Salut.

    Funkenblitz pt2

This very good locking 63 was also build by Funkenblitz.
This ride has it all: Nice stance, faultless paint, stroker in the back and so much more.

    Green Hearts pt 2

    More 'green Hearts' line-up.
I do have a weak spot for the 61 Stomper of James Dore on Erco's. This ride is good for some nice rolling burn outs.
I can allready smell the burned rubber and hear the 48 sucking air. Grrr...

    Green Hearts pt 1

Here's a picture of the line-up 'Green Hearts VW Club' set up at Das Drag Day 3 organised by DAS. As you can see, their rides a pure Cal Look and all top quality with Hi-power Strokers in the back. Don't tell me you don't like it that way.
Full-on feature of the 'Green Hearts' in the february issue of Volksworld which happen to be a Cal Look special with some very nice rides inside.

    Funkenblitz

Anyone into Cal Look VW's must have heard about Funkenblitz.
For those of you who haven't, let me explain some things.
Funkenblitz is a VW workshop based on the South Coast of England and is the also the homebase of the UK's leading Cal Look Club called 'Green Haerts VW Club' (the English conterparts of Belgiums leading Cal Look VW club DAS).
As a coincidence (or maybe not) Funkenblitz is specialised in building Hi-Power Callookers. Some of the Funkenblitz build cars were on display on DDD3 and Spa and made a great line-up. Want to know moe about Funkenblitz? Check it out here.

    De VW Keverclub Belgie

Anyone recognises someone on this picture? The man on the left is Messie (you should all know him by now) and the second on the right is me.
But actually I would like to say something about the other two induviduals on the picture.
The man on the right is a well-know face in the Belguim VW-scene for several years. It's Koen De Smet, he once ran a VW-shop overhere called GEKO-tuning, but nows runs the Belgium VW-Beetle Club (to us it is De VW Keverclub Belgie). The other man (with the glasses) listens to the name 'Moddersmurf' and an active member of the Belgium VW-Beetle club.
Through this way I would like to thank 'De VW Keverclub Belgie' for the interest they show in the things we do. They even jump in at our monthly meeting from time to time. So thanks to Koen, Seba, Sofie and Moddersmurf for their support.
Oh yes, did you allready know that De VW Keverclub Belgie is organising a New Years Drink next weekend in Affligem near Brussels? For more info check the flyer on the left or go visit their site. See y all There?

    Late Looker

Another great Late Looker, this time a Belgium based one.
Perfect stance, cool rims, dual-quiet-pack and simple lines. Just perfect to me.

    EMPI Loaded Late Looker

Into Late Lookers? This one certainly does it for me with the EMPI Sprintstar rims, EMPI C-stripe-kit, Empi Eyebrow-decklid and Turbo-muffler.
Only thing which doesn't turn me on are those huge rear-light-units.

    Raw Power

Talk about a huge carb popping out at the back of your ride.
Could there be a turbo hiding somewhere in the back too? Shurely good for some massive hp...

    New Year Gifts pt 3

If Dr Jeckill ever looses track again on his way back from Zweden, there must be something wrong with his new old maps. All roads lead back to the homebase...
